Duration of Arrangements and Undertakings

This arrangement is interim.

There is agreement that the University and the Australian Medical Association will vigorously pursue parity of remuneration of clinical academics with the Commonwealth Government. The Teaching Hospitals will assist with the process where appropriate.

The specialist clinical loading will be reduced to the extent that any increase resulting from action in clause 11.2 reduces the disparity between the loadings provided for in Clause 4 and the new total rates paid to Clinical Academics.

The special clinical loading will cease where parity is reached in accordance with the formula contained in Clause 4.
