I've agreed to go and teach overseas, now what do I need to know about my travel insurance?

Staff teaching overseas in a transational programme are fully covered by the University's insurance policies. You can check the website on Corporate Travel Insurance or ring the University's Insurance officer on 3214.

I'm overseas teaching but have fallen ill and need to know what to do about paying for a doctor?

International SOS can be contacted 24 hours a day by contacting the local telephone operator and requesting a reverse charges call to International SOS on: 61 2 9251 4298. Please mention the University of Western Australia's Policy No: 2600100318.

There is serious political trouble emerging in this country and I am worried about my safety. What should I do?

Contact your Head of School and indicate your concerns. Your Head will contact the Vice Chancellor to approve your immediate return if that appears to be the safest course of action.
