Both the Academic Staff Agreement and the Professional and General Staff Agreement provide for direct staff consultation through the establishment of Consultative Committees.

These Committees meet on a regular basis to discuss and consider matters concerning workplace relations and human resource matters affecting University Staff. Full details of the role of each Committee is available in the relevant Staff Agreement.

The membership of these Committees includes elected staff representatives, who have a term of two years. A nomination and election process for each Committee is held to appoint staff representatives to the Academic Consultative Committee and the General Staff Consultative Committee. The elected members of the Committees are as follows:
