For all senior general staff positions the head of school must prepare a search plan at the time of drafting the advertisement. Implementing a search process is a way of broadening the field of well qualified applicants and identifying potential applicants from diverse groups of people. The search goes beyond the normal advertising process but it does not:
The search plan should be submitted along with the advertisement and the selection criteria to the Dean for approval. Particular attention should be given in the search plan to the possibility of identifying qualified female applicants.
