The University has open and transparent recruitment process for managers and supervisors appointing employees through competitive selection.
For the appointment of Deans and Professors (Level E), there is:
- a Search and Screen Committee responsible for identifying a short-list of applications for further consideration
- a Senate Selection Committee which conducts interviews and makes a makes a final recommendation
UWA has guidelines for recruitment of new staff which takes into account the school's longer-term strategic goals and objectives. There is also a toolkit for the selection and recruitment processes.
