Our culture is simply the way we do things around here. It sits at the heart of our competitive advantage and will help us achieve our aspiration to be recognised as a Top 50 university by 2050.

We foster a high-performance culture through our values, behaviours and a focus on service that puts the client at the centre of everything we do. The combined efforts of everyone in the University are critical to achieving our aspiration.

A set of approaches, processes and tools have been developed to help all staff to deliver a high-performing culture.

This starts with creating an overarching culture, focusing on an effortless client service experience and delivering continuous improvement moving forward, before culminating in a focus on high-performance capabilities and behaviours to create an outstanding organisation-wide spirit.

Building on our culture

Continuous improvement

Continuous improvement at UWA is a knowledge-based process to transform our culture, maximise client value and grow the University.

Using DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) for how we will continuously improve creates a consistent language and way of doing things.

It also increases predictability in improving, developing and stabilising organisational processes and implementing workable solutions.
